OUR BEGINNING
Sander Processing is a local business that was built and founded in Celestine, Indiana. We are a butcher shop where customers can bring in their own livestock and we will butcher and process the meat to the request of the customers. Jim Sander decided that he wanted to try to start up a butcher shop of his own that would go by the name of Sander Processing. Jim started this business in his own backyard in the year of 1984. Where that business successfully ran until they were to small to meet the demands of their customers.
So, in the early 2000’s we decided it would be in our best interest to open a new and bigger building to help take in more animals and be able to do more work than ever before. We decided to open our new processing plant in Celestine, IN. The business still runs and operates in the same building to this very day in the middle of small-town Celestine, Indiana. But this business now runs under a little different management. Jim Sander is well into his 70’s now and has since retired from the meat cutting industry. He has since handed the ownership over to his three boys, Randy, Chris, and Kent Sander with his daughter Amy also working there.
In the year 2020 we decided that there was simply to much work to be done for one shop. So we started planning ways to allow us to help meet our customers needs, and allow our business to grow. This led to the opening of our newest location Sander Family Meat Market in St. Anthony. This new location allows us to keep providing our services to our bigger customers such as Fischer Farms, as well as being able to help us support our local farmers and small customers at our Celestine location.

Currently at Sander Processing & Family Meat Market we have employees working in many different departments in our shop. Such as butchering, processing, packaging, customer service, and sanitary and cleanliness. All of our full time employees enjoy benefits, such as paid health insurance, paid vacations & holidays, free breakfast & dinner everyday, and a 401 (k).
